The philtrum is the canal like ridge beneath the nose and runs to the center of the upper lip. It is also a very sensitive part of the lips.
The vermilion border is the lining of the upper lips. Females usually apply lipstick and gloss to the vermilion border. Herpes simplex also tends to cause painful vesicles on the vermilion border.
Today, there are many ways to make lips look plump and luscious. There are a variety of permanent and temporary dermal fillers which can make the face look full, sexy and erotic.
The dermal fillers available are collagen and non collagen products and have to be injected into the lips. The process does hurt but the eventual result is very pleasing.
