Read more about him from the article of theglobeandmail.com:
The network TV movie genre has suffered a decline in recent years, with cable taking over as the venue for provocative storytelling. However, this series of one-off movies featuring Tom Selleck as Stone, an apparently past-it homicide detective relocating to a small town, just keeps going. And it keeps getting better. Selleck has now eased his way into the role. Sometimes he seems to be gently mocking his past as the hot-shot on Magnum P.I. Here, Jesse's got personal troubles, of course. There's that lovely actress wife who ditched him, and after working the mean streets of L.A. his character is not much taken by the drama of speeding tickets in his new home. Here though, he helps out an old buddy and is shot and wounded while getting involved in a case in Boston. And then there's the strange case of a woman whose son was kidnapped but she's convinced he's right there in the small Massachusetts town that is Jesse's domain. There is fine work from the supporting cast of Kathy Baker, Leslie Hope and William Devane.
